CMAR Credit Union is committed to providing financial products and services to meet the needs and financial goals of our membership. We are equally committed to protecting our members' privacy. We disclose to all members how we collect, use, and safeguard their personal financial information. CMAR Credit Union collects nonpublic personal information about our members from the following sources:

Information on applications and other forms
Information on member transactions with us or others
Information from consumer reporting agency/agencies
Information obtained when verifying the information provided to us on an application or other forms. This may be obtained from current or past employers or from other institutions where members conduct financial transactions.

We may disclose all the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. To protect our members' privacy, we only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell the member information we provide to other third parties.

In order to conduct the business of the credit union, we may also disclose nonpublic personal information about our members under the circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions on behalf of the members, conduct the operations of the credit union, follow instructions authorized by the member, or protect the security of credit union financial records.

When a member terminates their relationship with CMAR Credit Union, it is our policy not to continue to share information we have collected about those members, except as permitted or required by law.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about our members to those employees who have a specific business purpose in utilizing the data. Our employees are trained in the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations and leading industry practices to safeguard any nonpublic personal information.

We encourage members to help protect their privacy by offering general guidelines in the initial disclosure they are given when becoming a member of the credit union.
